The Word on Anthony

Growing up in Cambridge, I have seen first-hand how much Anthony has sacrificed and how hard he has worked for Massachusetts and the city of Cambridge.  Over the years, Anthony has been at every one of my three children's little league banquets, school graduations, productions and events.

Message from Anthony Galluccio

Dear Friends,

I would like to start off by apologizing for the chain of events that led to my incarceration. I acknowledge and fully understand that the decisions I made in the past have been hurtful, embarrassing and an enormous burden to those who have supported me and especially to those who love me and are closest to me. I sincerely apologize to them all and especially to the Tager family who has endured an extremely difficult ordeal.

"The test reading was not an illegal concentration in any state of the union"

According to Dr. Ernest D. Lykissa, Houston-based forensic toxicologist, the "Gas Chromatography/Mass Spectrometry has been used since the late 1980's in all the federal labs for confirming the presence of drugs or alcohol. The test (breath alcohol) they convicted you with is a screening test at best it does not reflect accurately the presence of alcohol in your blood stream, and the amount they used for your conviction it was not an illegal concentration (greater than 0.08g%) in any state of the union. They used to call this kangaroo courts."

Hope for the Holidays 2010

Thanks to the generosity of Liberty Mutual, and the hard work and generosity of donors and supporters, the Galluccio family and Centro Latino were able to provide a holiday event for approximately 40 families that were identified by local schools and organizations to be in serious need over the holidays. Families received gift cards and toys as well as a great afternoon of entertainment, fun and food (all donated) at the Second Annual Hope for the Holidays on Saturday, December 11 at 1pm at the French Club in North Cambridge.

Letter: Before arrest, Galluccio ‘set an example of how we should act’

CAMBRIDGE CHRONICLE - JUL 19, 2010 | It would be nice to think that with all the insular media coverage of Anthony Galluccio’s release from prison, his hometown paper could have afforded him a bit more coverage and deference.

'I Have A Lot To Prove,' Says Galluccio

ABC - CHANNEL 5 | CAMBRIDGE, Mass. -- A former Massachusetts state senator who blamed toothpaste ingredients for failing alcohol screenings was released on parole Wednesday after serving about half his sentence for a 2009 hit-and-run crash. Anthony Galluccio was freed Wednesday from a parole office in Quincy after leaving the Middlesex House of Correction in Billerica.
